ISAIAH died soon after 698 B.C. but reports the decree of Cyrus in 536 B.C., a difference of 162 years. There is a problem with the authenticity of this book. In chapter 7 Isaiah assures King Ahaz of Judah that his two enemies will not succeed against him. vs. 7:14 "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son." vs 7:16 "For before the child should know to refuse the evil, and chose the good, the land that thou abhorrest or dreadest (Syria and ally) shall be forsaken of both her kings." vs 8:2,3 "And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah, and I went to a prophetess, and she conceived and bare a son."
Although passed over in Isaiah, Chronicles II chapter 28 points out that instead of failing, the enemies of Ahaz succeeded: Ahaz was destroyed, 120,000 of his people were slaughtered, Jerusalem was plundered and 200,000 sons and daughters were sold into slavery.
JEREMIAH was clearly a spy for the Babylonians. vs. 34:4,5 "Thus saith the Lord of thee (King Zedekiah), Thou shalt not die by the sword: But thou shall die in peace and with the burnings of thy fathers..." vs. 40:6-7 The king of Babylon slew Zedikiah's sons in front of his eyes, then put out his eyes and bound him in chains and took him to prison in Babylon.
EZEKIAL 29:10-11 "No foot of man shall pass through it (Egypt), nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabitied forty years." This never came to pass.
JONAH vs 3:4 "Yet forty days, and Ninevah shall be overthrown." vs.3:10 it did not happen and Jonah was angry.
