These photos (uncaptioned) were found among the McCarthy photos. They are of Francis Joseph Cardinal Spellman (1889-1967). Pope Pius XII had made him archbishop of New York and vicar of the United States Armed Forces, a position that charged him with overseeing spiritual services to all Roman Catholics in the U.S. military. Pope Pius XII elevated him to the College of Cardinals in 1946. It is unknown if these photos have any connection with the McCarthy trip. Last photo was on matte paper.
